Col Manik Anandh (Veteran)

Col Manik Anandh is an ex Army Air Defence officer with nearly 33 years of wide operational & staff experience across the Northern & Eastern Theatre. An alumni of National Defence Academy & Defence Services Staff College Wellington the officer headed the Aerospace Systems Division, Department of Defence Production in the Ministry of Defence from Aug 2021 until 2024. The officer has completed International Business Management from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade on 27th Feb 2026. In MoD the officer handled induction of C 295 aircraft, pioneered various Aerospace Projects viz Utility Heptr Maritime for Indian Navy, Light Utility Heptr for Indian Army & IAF, 25 Defence Space Missions, numerous projects of Drones & Counter Drone Systems of all services. Widely travelled across the country Col Manik has deep connect with the Start Up Ecosystem in Bharat. A certified Subject Matter Expert on Policy, Procurement the officer has handled International Cooperation for Central & Eastern Europe and Latin American countries promoting Defence Exports and absorption of Technology from Friendly Foreign Countries. The officer has been part of Organising Committee of Def Expo and Aero India events and has curated professional seminars with various Industry Chambers. Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, IN (Retd), India’s 24th Chief of the Naval Staff from 31 May 2019 to 30 November 2021. An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and the College of Naval Warfare, Mumbai. A Naval aviator, has flown extensively on the Chetak (Alouette Mk III) and several variants of Kamov helicopters. Over the four decades of service , he has commanded the Indian Coast Guard Ship Chandbibi, the guided-missile corvette INS Vijaydurg, and two of the Indian Navy’s frontline guided-missile destroyers, namely, INS Rana and INS Delhi. He has also tenanted the seagoing appointments, including those of Fleet Operations Officer of the Western Fleet. He has served in the Directorate of Naval Air Staff at the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Navy), and has been Captain (Air) and Officer-in-Charge of the Naval Air Station at Mumbai. The Admiral has served as the Chief of Staff of the Eastern Naval Command. He has also tenanted critical flag-appointments, those of Chief of Staff of the Tri-Services Unified Command in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and the Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra and Gujarat Naval Area (FOMAG). He was the Director-General, Project Seabird, and oversaw all aspects of the development of the Indian Navy’s expansive and modern base at Karwar in India’s southern state of Karnataka. As the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, he discharged his responsibilities towards the Indian Navy’s current and future operational and combat capacity and capabilities. He then served as the Vice Chief of Naval Staff, involved with the development of the “Future Navy”. He has a rich store of senior command experience and has been the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, with his headquarters at the port-city of Visakhapatnam. The Admiral assumed the chairmanship of the National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi, on 17 January 2022.


Admiral Karambir Singh, (Veteran)

The General Officer with a career spanning four decades has served in all terrain and operational areas with tenures in J&K, NE (Manipur, Nagaland, Assam) and has served twice in UN Missions in Congo & South Sudan as Sector Commander commanding international troops, both most high risk missions. He was part of Trial Team of first T-72 to Ladakh sector in 1987. He has done three computer courses and was also involved in a Netcentric Warfare Study in 2008. In 2016, he was also part of Emergency Procurement Team to Russia post Uri attacks. In 2018, he has led a delegation on UN Peacekeeping at Dhaka. As GOC of a Division, he led a Battle Group to a SCO Exercise in Russia on Air Land Battle in 2019. As GOC Dakshin Bharat Area, many Disaster Relief operations have been executed under his charter – Wayanad Landslides, Cyclone MICHAUNG, Cyclone FENGAL, etc. The General Officer has excelled in all courses of instruction to incl DSSC, Higher Air Command Course & NDC . The officer has two Master of Philosophies to his credit and now pursuing PhD. He has been awarded with highest Presidential Award for Distinguished Service Param Vishisht Seva Medal and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, also Chief of Army Staff Commendation twice and GOC-in-C Eastern Command Commendation twice. Currently, he is Distinguished Strategic Advisor to IITM PRAVARTAK. The General Officer is a Technocrat and has been involved with many niche technology projects. He was part of the team for inception of Army Design Bureau. As Director General Armoured Corps, he was instrumental in initiating numerous projects and it's fruition to include Light Tank ZORAWAR, Swarm Drones, etc. The General Officer has written number of articles on Future Warfare, Technology and AI in Warfare and conducted lectures and participated in Seminars on Multi Domain Operations & Net Centric Warfare.

Major General A K Mehra (Veteran)

The General Officer was commissioned into the Air Defence Artillery on 20 Dec 1970. He commanded a Missile Regiment (Self-Propelled) (OSA_AK) and later commanded a Mechanised Air Defence Brigade in the Armoured Division. He also served as the Commandant of the Services Selection Board (Central) at Bhopal. He has been an Instructor at the School of Artillery and the College of Combat. He has attended several courses, including Long Gunnery Staff Course (AD), the Officers’ Advance Course (Fort Bliss, Texas, USA), DSSC, Wellington, the Higher Command Course, Mhow, and the National Defence Course at NDC, Delhi. As a student of matters military, the General Officer frequently writes on current military subjects. He has been the Operations Officer of a Mountain Brigade in NEFA, Head of Logistics of an Infantry Division, in Counter-Terrorist Operations in the Valley, Head of Logistics of a Strike Corps, and Head of Administration of a Command. He superannuated in Aug 2007 while serving as Additional Director General, Weapons and Equipment (ADGWE), an appointment now held by Lieutenant General. Having served in the Army Air Defence, the General Officer is familiar with guns, radars, power systems and a number of other weapons. As the ADGWE, the General Officer managed the entire process of acquiring new weapon systems for the Indian Army. The process, from approval of the GSQR to the final induction of a weapon system, was controlled and managed by a team headed by the General Officer.

Her interpersonal skills and empathetic leadership have made her a trusted figure within the community. Widely travelled across the country she has been exposed to various geographies, cultures and unique perspective. A keen learner with a forward-looking mindset, Ritu has broadened her horizons by attending seminars, Defence Expo, Aero India events and International Cooperation engagements during her spouse’s tenure with the Ministry of Defence. interacting & meeting various stakeholders. These experiences have given her valuable exposure to the defence and aerospace landscape, global best practices and strategic perspectives. With her strong organisational abilities and leadership experience, Ritu is exceptionally well-suited to take on the role of Business Head in a consulting company. She brings with her a unique blend of discipline, adaptability and people-centric leadership, making her an asset to any organisation operating in this domain of supporting the young & dynamic DeepTech Start Ups of BHARAT.
